Today, I'm proud to be part of a series on teens hosted by Diary of a Mad Bathroom. I'm #2 of the posts there on this subject. Please follow over, so I don't have to miss you....which would be REALLY REALLY REALLY bad for my mental health. And, remember, I have children to raise, so anything you do to keep away the "black dog" is for the children...they need mama to be happy.
DMB is doing this weekly series on teen angst...while you're there, be sure to read last week's guest post on this subject by Sarah Lindahl of "So....what else?" on how she'd design teenagers differently. It's brilliant!

Well, okay...if I read about teen angst I'll be so prepared, I can become an expert, right???
ReplyDeleteHeading over to read it. I always enjoy your writing and, truthfully, I'm looking forward to your perspective. And thanking God I don't have to deal with it...yet.
On my way, most lovely Empress!

ReplyDeleteI loved this post. You nailed the voice of a teenager. And I've had so many of these conversations. And once again, that sure is a handsome boy.
ReplyDeleteYou speak teenager! SO impressive. I don't even know how to say pillow and egg in teenager, and I know how to say pillow and egg in a LOT of languages.
ReplyDeletegreat stuff, as usual.
ReplyDeleteHA! That was so much fun. To be frank, I never got to speak much like that. My Mom was good at that stuff too.
ReplyDeleteBTW, I and my dog talk that way. Our conversations turn awkward all the time.
Have a good day...:)
I'm going to check out DMB...and not Dave Matthews Band.
ReplyDeleteI'm interested to see what's making this bathroom so mad while I'm there too!
ReplyDeleteFortunately for me, I doubt that my son could ever be as bad as I was. I feel so sorry for my mother now.
ReplyDeleteI've just bookmarked her site. She's funny! And I have this paranoid need to be as prepared as possible so I will follow her blog.
I love how you write so tenderly and lovingly about any age, about any child's issue. You're a wonderful mom!
I am heading over there as soon as I finish this. I hope you are having a great day. Blessings...Mary
