Cool Whip Queen

Please, minds out of the gutter, this is a family friendly G rated blog, right, Baby E?

I am so honored to join the ranks of the Cool Whip Queens at Naomi's place, Organic Motherhood With Cool Whip, today, with my guest post, "Who's got the peer pressure? My kids, or me?"

I love Naomi's About page, telling the origins of her bloggy domain. It's the perfect way to live.

Please stop over, and read "Who's got the peer pressure? My kids or me?" I hope you'll enjoy it, and I know you'll love Naomi. She is the first ever blog post I did on another blogger. And one of my first two followers. (told you she was that sweet.) As successful as she is as a blogger, and busy with her 2 children, she would be the only commenter for days on my site. Opening up her comments was like Christmas morning for me. I'll never forget her kindness to a new blogger.

Please stop over and get to know this kind hearted woman's site. I'd love to hear what you have to say on peer pressure and mothering over here.

Thank you!

40 notes to the Empress:

  1. We all live for comments don't we:) Have a great evening!

  12. It got deleted from the other site...I couldn't see the verification word.
    So I'll comment here.

I used to be that way, but lately I am more concerned with my children having a moral compass than being just like everyone else. You're so right and so honest, having it all, wanting it all doesn' make it all better, doesn't make you a better mom or person. Only YOU can do that...for yourself and your family.

thank you for writing this..and I plan to print it out and put it up here in my office, so I can read it every day and know that if I raise good children, if I can be a better human and mom, that I have succeeded, even if I never get that 4 BR house or that minivan. I have everything I need.

  13. Tried commenting there but it wouldnt let me. Wanted to say thanks for the reminder. How can we expect our kids to ignore it if we cant? I've always held true to the ideal of being different is best so people can notice you more. But it depends on how different you are being. LOL

  16. Great feature. it's amazing how we as adults forgot that the kids learn more for what we do than what we say. Especially the last one/body image. It doesn't matter how much you tell you daughter she's beautiful if she believes you are beautiful and you spend your time tearing yourself down.

  18. Really enjoyed that post. We do set examples for our children so we can't bow down to peer pressure. It's a battle that'll never be won. So why participate?

  19. Empress, you are totally my Naomi. Whom I just discovered and love! Off to Cool Whip land...

  20. I'm a big fan of coolwhip, but it comes in Organic?! What the WHAT?!

  21. I am heading over now to read it. Love reading your posts!

  22. Great post! Amazing how much of ourselves will reflect in those around us. Not too many people actually take the time to stop and see who they are effecting, especially kids who are so impressionable when they are growing up.

  23. Ill be stopping by. Sounds like an intersting post :)

  24. Thank you all for stopping over and meeting the loveliness that is Naomi.

She encouraged me to start a blog, so it meant a lot to post there.

Thank you! You're all so great.

  33. Just read your guest post. Your thoughts are always so insightful. And I have to agree, being skinnier does not solve all problems. For one thing, you just get hungrier...then crankier...
You're a terrific writer, I always enjoy you.

  34. Oh comments...why are they so addictive? LOL!
