| Small Moments Mondays |
The guest bloggers there generously offer their take on what a "small moment" means to them. The list of guest bloggers are those that offer some of the best writing I've found on the internet.
The posts are funny, cute, sweet, poignant, tough, endearing, sorrowful, regretful, joyous, and most important: centering. After reading a "Small Moments Mondays" post, I leave feeling affirmed and encouraged in taking the time to do the small things. I leave feeling it's the right thing to do, in not cleaning the house that day, but instead spending time on the floor playing.
The morning that I woke up to an email from Nichole, inviting me to post on her blog for her "small moment" series, was a morning that began with a smile. "Yes, I would absolutely love to," was the reply I sent back.
Nichole is the hostess of this sweet, peaceful series, and she has built a community around it. She hosts this genuine spot for one's soul to rest at her blog, In These Small Moments. In her prior life, Nichole was an English Professor, and is now at home raising her little children. Nichole is all about capturing the small moments in life. You can get to know more of her incredible life story, here.
I hope you stop over at Nichole's wonderful blog today and read my post there, "The Reach of a Moment."
Thank you so much. I hope to see you here, and MERRY CHRISTMAS!!
I hope to get one more post in this week, but without the caffeine buzz, you know...it's all in the hands of fate.
MERRY CHRISTMAS to all the wonderful people that I have met and that stop here. I can't believe you all did not exist in my life a year ago. I just can't.
Please do stop over here today, and get to know me a little bit better. I'd also like to say Hi.
Love to you all. xo

A very Merry Christmas to you and your royal family.

ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas to you! I hope you have a wonderful holiday!
ReplyDeleteI have read some bloggers who participate in the small moments thing, and I agree--what a fabulous idea.
ReplyDeleteBut now I must go see where it originated!
I went...I cried...now I need a hug.
ReplyDeleteThat was an awesome post and a wonderful small moment! One of us on the bench had a grandmother that used to tell her burnt bacon would curl her hair, the other has a grandmother that makes her fried chicken every time she visits. Grandmother's kick ass, that's all there is to it. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteWherever you are, i'll be there!
ReplyDeleteIt was a great post, but then, that's what I've come to expect from you! p.s.~ You're so loved, the commentors all talk about how sweet you are.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful moment and how beautifully written. I only hope that all the children in my life know that they are my "favorite". Thank you for introducing me to her blog!
ReplyDeleteLOVED reading your post over there. It will stay with me for a long time, if not forever. You captured that moment so beautifully, painfully, and honestly. It reminds me to be in these small moments with my own children.
ReplyDeleteI truly feel you are like a kindred spirit. I love reading everything you write.
Merry Christmas to you and your family :)
Beautiful piece, Alexandra. Thanks for peeking your head out to share that moment in your life.
ReplyDeleteHappy holidays to you and your family.
It's just beautiful, Alexandra. I have no words to describe how I feel for what you went through as a child. I am so sorry. But what you missed out on love from your own parents I hope you are getting back three fold in your own family now. I am also so happy that you had such refuge, acceptance and love in your grandmother. You are amazing!!!
