I don't know anyone that doesn't want to be heard and accepted.
You have this way of laying your heart on the line that I really, really admire.Heidihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01897963154223770756noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1991265338210422893.post-90965014826450533562012-02-13T11:41:06.868-06:002012-02-13T11:41:06.868-06:00Something I forgot to add over at TikiTiki:

I grew up in a tavern.

I didn't used to fit ANYWHERE in the "real" world, whether it was in school, or in the role of mother or businesswoman or what-have-you.

I squished and squeezed and made my own fit - I am who I am and what I am and I try to be the best person I can.

My thoughts are with ANYONE who doesn't think they fit... be good to yourself and surround yourself with people who know your worth and believe in you.Jackeehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15371201085970193248noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1991265338210422893.post-14786863639682815192012-02-13T08:39:06.117-06:002012-02-13T08:39:06.117-06:00I'm a half-and-half, and I felt the sting when...I'm a half-and-half, and I felt the sting when I was going to school. Whites would make fun of my olive skin, and my greek friends called me little white boy. I couldn't claim either side, because I wasn't "enough" but it taught me a good lesson about looking beyond skin color.

Now I live in a part of the country that is 96% white and mildly racist. It drives me nuts...Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02993699573170596587noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1991265338210422893.post-11350515662121027012012-02-13T00:39:29.338-06:002012-02-13T00:39:29.338-06:00I can't speak for being Latina enough, however...I can't speak for being Latina enough, however... I can speak for being wife enough, mom enough, or grandmother enough, even blogger enough. I could go on, but I'm sure you know what I mean. I don't socialize with enough people for them to personally make me feel lacking, however... I'm my own worst critic and never feel good enough to meet my own quality standards.Ms. Ahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06263882972749791087noreply@blogger.com
