Like A Polaroid Picture

Shake it Shake it Shake it like it's your blogoversary

So much to say. But how do I say it all, without getting all yapping excited puppy dog up in your face?

Let's try this:

Welcome to this blog's anniversary week. WEEK.

On February 26, 2010, one year ago, I began Good Day, Regular People. With this post here:

"Here We Go--Day One: What Can Happen"

There will be so much going on: fun stuff, interesting stuff, highlights, humor, poignancy, a giveaway...oh, and a new weekly series.

Is 7 days enough time?

It has to be.

I'm about to look crazier than I already do.  I've got the Depends strapped on, and the case of SlimFast by my side, so there's no need to get up for a thing.

Marathon through with me and the daily posts, would you?

I'd be so honored.

xo

See you tomorrow

Oh, and expect some mush from me, cuz I love you, guys.

  8. Congrats and happy bloganniversary! It is amazing how much you've done in a year...hard to believe you're still a toddler. A talented, seasoned, kind, well-loved mainstay of a toddler. I remember you pretty much from day one, and it's been incredible watching you grow as a blogger.

Okay, was that wicked corny? Oh, whatever.
    Congrats! :-P

  17. BOYCOTT AMERICAN WOMEN
Why American men should boycott American women

    http://boycottamericanwomen.blogspot.com/

I am an American man, and I have decided to boycott American women. In a nutshell, American women are the most likely to cheat on you, to divorce you, to get fat, to steal half of your money in the divorce courts, don’t know how to cook or clean, don’t want to have children, etc. Therefore, what intelligent man would want to get involved with American women?

American women are generally immature, selfish, extremely arrogant and self-centered, mentally unstable, irresponsible, and highly unchaste. The behavior of most American women is utterly disgusting, to say the least.

This blog is my attempt to explain why I feel American women are inferior to foreign women (non-American women), and why American men should boycott American women, and date/marry only foreign (non-American) women.

    BOYCOTT AMERICAN WOMEN!

  59. Congratulations on your Blogoversary! That is awesome sauce!

    ReplyDelete
  60. Oh, so glad you started here a year ago so I could find you four months ago.

And I do think you are like Edna (although I could be wrong. my family says I am all the time).

I thought her poem was about undying loyalty to just a few; love she would never betray even to her own detriment.

Not love of the masses or the undeserving.

But like I said. I've been wrong before. And, yes. I do want to get to know you. Either way.

Happy blogoversary...and sorry about that SlimFast. That can't have been too tasty...

    ReplyDelete
  61. Happy Blogoversary!!! I can't believe you have only been blogging for a year!! WOW!

I am so glad you did...you have made my days so much richer for knowing you!

    Let the celebrating begin! :)

    XOXO

  62. You're gotten this huge in only one year?? You are so amazing.

    ReplyDelete
  63. Happy Blogoversary! So what's 1 year? I don't think it's paper. Perhaps at one year you get fabulous comments and well wishes? You already have those!

What to get you? OH! How about a stalker? Do you already have one? I'll send him with a gift receipt so there should be no issues!

I would send you 'validation' because after a year of blogging, I would hope you know you're really good, right? But it' really hard to wrap that.

    ReplyDelete
  64. Ummmm...how did you look at the cashier in the eye when you bought the depends? Or did you send the husband or to get it? Hee hee.
    Happy Blogversary!! Yay!!!

    ReplyDelete
  65. I can't believe how many of you "big bloggers" have only been at this a year! I've had mine for 2.5 yrs, but just now went more public with it, and can only hope that I'm as revered as you are in a year. Happy blogoversary!

    ReplyDelete
  66. What can I even say? I am so glad you are here, I can't even imagine the blogosphere before the Empress' kind rule!

    ReplyDelete
  67. Congratulations and can't wait for your week long celebration!!

    ReplyDelete
  68. Congratulations!! Laughed out loud about you strapping on the Depends.

    ReplyDelete
  69. Yikes! I'm a day late but I made you something : )

An Ode to the Empress, Long may she reign!
With wit and humor, beauty and brain
Her writing is excellent but that is just part
To her Skills and Talent add a Generous Heart.
When we visit your blog we approach with head bowed
but find that Regular people are really Allowed!
She writes a great story, disappoints us- Never.
    There is always something Clever!

As I travel through blogs it never fails to be true,
I look for who reads them, if to me they are new.
When I see a great blog, it matters not where
I find that the Empress is already there.
A few comments ahead of me or gazing from followers
For keeping up she has Super Powers!
Wherever I go I find her face
and comments left with thought and grace

So one year from your start we all give a Cheer
Happy Anniversary Empress! We're so glad You're Here!

  70. HAPPY BLOGOVERSARY, my dear sweet friend. I truly find it amazing that you have only been blogging for a year. Look how much you have accomplished and learned, the people you have "met" and affected, and next up, the stage? Wow.

And 73 responses on a weekend? A testament to the love people feel for you.

    You da best, girl!

  71. Happy blogoversary! (Don't you love just adding 'blog' to normal words and then saying them out loud to non-bloggers just to watch their 'wth' face. yeah.) You're so lovely and wonderful and i am so not worthy. Thanks for being 'here'nice lady... :)

    ReplyDelete
  72. Was reading on my phone earlier. Had to wait til I had my computer to be able to comment. Happy Blogoversary! :)

  73. Happy Blogiversary!! I hope you've changed your Depends by now. I also must commend you on being so cogent even though you are living on Slim Fast. I do wonder though, if the diapers and the poor diet choice are the reasons Mr. Anonymous has decided to boycott American Women?
    We LOVE you right back!!!

    ReplyDelete
  74. Happy Blogiversary!!!! You still have at least six months before you burn out, so enjoy! ;) Just kidding, the blogging bug stays strong in any blogger who gets over 50 comments on their first anniversary. I think there was a study done somewhere that proved it...

    :)

  75. Congrats on a great year! We've only been at it for a few months, but feel like we're starting to hit our stride. Cheers to many more blogging years for you!

  82. You are so wise for just being one year old. I had no idea! I'm really glad I found you.

Sorry I am like a week late. I have been mourning the move out of my son and have neglected my blog and everyone else's.
