NaBloPoMo Day 4 - Your Homework on Election Day: VOTE

Today is Election Day, November 4, and National Blog Posting Month, Day 4. I leave you with homework. The kind that will blow your mind.

Sometime early today, sometime later tonight, watch this 2 minute trailer. If you just have to see more, the entire movie is available on youtube, Iron Jawed Angels. If all you can muster today is one thing, then find out about the woman who said, "It was shocking that a government of men could look with such extreme contempt on a movement that was asking nothing except such a simple little thing as the right to vote." That would be Alice Paul and you can click here to read her amazing story.

Now, please, go and exercise the right these women fought for.

Go VOTE.

  1. Excellent! And yes, I am a voter! I truly appreciate all they sacrificed for us to vote and I feel it is my civic duty. We can make a difference, even one vote at a time.

  3. Momma Fargo: Have you seen this film, Momma? It's excellent.
Brian: It's astounding to me that our voter turnout yesterday was 57%. And that as a high.
